Fees & Billing
We offer a number of different services and appointment lengths, so please contact reception to obtain further information.
We are not a bulk billing practice. As such, payment is required for all appointments, however we can process your Medicare rebate should you have an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) or Eating Disorder Management Pan (EDP). Please ensure that either yourself or your GP has sent the referral and plan through to us before your appointment so that we are able to process your rebate on your behalf.
If you have private health cover, you may be eligible for rebates through your health fund. We will provide you with a receipt which you can submit to your health fund to receive your rebate.
Please note that a $50 deposit and credit card authorisation is requested to secure your initial appointment. Your card will then be securely saved in our system to allow for future billings.
We understand that health change can mean having time to unpack your concerns and difficulties. To ensure you have adequate time to discuss your issues and create useful plans with your practitioner, we set aside 30-90 minutes for your appointments. This is your time and this appointment time becomes unavailable to others. We do not double book, so that we can give you the best possible care and attention. Filling last minute cancellations is often difficult as people need to arrange time of work or childcare, etc.
As such, in consideration of your practitioners time, we reserve the right to bill a cancellation fee. This may range between $50 and the full consultation fee of your appointment. This is outlined below.
A courtesy reminder of your appointment will be sent two business days before your appointment. Appointment cancellations received after this text reminder has been sent will incur a $50 cancellation fee. Appointments which are cancelled on the day of the appointment, or for which you do not attend, will incur the full fee of the appointment. Habits for Health reserves the right to charge the incurred cancellation fee to the credit card provided. No Medicare or health fund rebates are available for late cancellation payments.
If you are unwell or cannot attend the clinic for your appointment, we do offer telehealth appointments as an alternative.
